REINCARNATION
In the New Age, people will know of the continuity of life, lose their fear of life and death, and will transform human existence.
Great confusion reigns in man's understanding of the laws governing rebirth. This confusion is reflected in the variety of teachings and interpretations which exist, and which serve to deepen man's ignorance and fear.
Every soul incarnates and re-incarnates under the Law of Rebirth. Groups of souls come in together in order to work out karma created in the past. Hence this law provides the opportunity to repay ancient debts, to recognize and work with old friends, to accept ancient responsibilities and obligations and to bring to the surface for re-use talents and qualities acquired long ago. What beauty and order there is, therefore, in this law which governs our appearance on this plane.
To summarize, we can say that reincarnation depends on the particular destiny of the individual. If he or she is not sufficiently developed, there is no destiny as yet; the individual is simply drawn back into incarnation. When the man has progressed somewhat further his destiny becomes a group destiny. In the case of a disciple or initiate, however, the cycles of incarnation are governed by his individual destiny and above all by his desire to serve.
Every thought, every action that we have and make sets into motion a cause. These causes have their effects. These effects make our lives, for good or ill. We are now, have been, and will go on, making our lives from moment to moment. Sooner or later, the causes set into motion by our thoughts and actions will produce effects which will rebound on us; and we will experience that as good karma or bad karma.
When it is uncomfortable we call it bad karma. And when it is good karma, when life is comfortable, easy, we do not notice it. We take it as our right, our due, because that is what we expect life to be like. People really only talk about karma when they mean bad karma. It is important to realize and remember that we have more good karma than bad karma.
The ultimate aim is to live life in such a way that we make no personal karma. We can do that either by being perfect or being dead. Since being perfect is much more interesting than being dead, most people accept the premise of trying, more or less, to achieve the soul's purpose and staying to the last possible moment to do so. Thus, we work with this burden which we have ourselves created in the present and in past lives.
We try, consciously or unconsciously, to become perfect. We have no control over the events of life. The only thing we can control is our reaction to these events. So the aim is to achieve such a measure of detachment from events that we can control ourselves. In this way we cope with the burden of karma in any given incarnation. This is not a case of sitting in a catatonic stupor, so that we do nothing and therefore create no karma.
What we can do, in every event, in every situation, is distance ourselves from that event -- looking at the event as out there, and us here, and not react. In this way we gradually create an impersonality in relation to life, a detachment in relation to events, where we become indifferent to whether our karma is good or bad.
Correctly seen, evolutionary life is a gradual renunciation of the lower for the sake of the higher. As a soul in incarnation, a high level of divinity has incarnated at a lower level of divinity, and the journey to perfection, the evolutionary goal, is the gradual renunciation of these lower levels, by embodying, at these lower levels, the higher; becoming more and more what one essentially is as a soul.
The soul makes its journey into incarnation over aeons of time, and then back, out of the need to incarnate at all. The path of return for the soul is the gradual release of itself from the limitations of the physical, astral and mental planes. This is done by infusing its vehicles -- physical, emotional and mental -- with its energies and qualities. Two things are going on at the same time in this process. One is the gradual spiritualizing of the vehicle by the soul. The other is the burdening of the vehicle, intentionally, by the soul, to burn up ancient karma.
As the soul progresses in its incarnational experience, so its reflection, the man or woman in incarnation, receives a heavier and heavier burden of karma until, in the last incarnation of all, in which the person will be a fourth-degree initiate, the burden is at its heaviest. It is for this reason that the fourth initiation is called, in the West, the Crucifixion and, in the East, the Great Renunciation. In that experience everything, all the lower aspects, are being renounced in favor of the higher spiritual reality. That is why the life of the fourth-degree initiate is usually, from the world's point of view, painful, heavy indeed.
People imagine that, as a man or woman progresses in evolution, they should become freer and freer of karma. The opposite is true. Not only that, but as a man or woman becomes a disciple, becomes initiate, a world-server, they take more and more of the weight of world karma. They are the upholders of the world. Their shoulders are, and need to be, broad. Imagine a bridge over a river, and the river is the world and its karma, and the disciples and initiates are the pillars of the bridge, and the spaces between are the masses of people. Where there are spaces, the water flows easily through. It is the pillars of the bridge that take the force of the flood, of the water.
In a very real sense, the disciples and initiates of the world support the world. That is one reason why the life of a disciple is, from the average man's point of view, a very difficult life to lead. But, of course, he is governed by the great Law of Service. Under this law, disciples and initiates come very frequently into incarnation to serve world need and to finish off this earth experience as quickly as possible -- not to get it over with, but to serve the better. The more advanced a person is, the more he can serve, the more useful he can be to the world.
When a certain level is reached -- that of the third-degree initiate -- the relationship to the Law of Cause and Effect changes. Gradually the law is manipulated by the person himself. As a conscious divine soul, working in the world, he becomes really the pilot of his own plane. He may have a co-pilot, his Master, but he is the pilot. It is not an automatic thing, but gradually this point is achieved. He takes an active part in his own evolution, consciously working with the Law of Karma, under the control of his soul. Then it may come to pass that his previous lives will open up before his inner eye. As this happens, also the karma of that time becomes open to him on the physical plane, which, of course, increases the burden of the initiate.
The aim is that by the time the person is ready to take the fifth initiation and become a Master, all karma will have been resolved, burned up, taken back to the source from which it came.
Service: The Best Method for Resolving Karma
How do you get rid of karma; how do you deal with it? Well, you cannot give it away. It is too heavy, nobody wants it. There is no sale for excess karma; everyone has enough of their own. So what do you do, how can you cope with this burden that limits your activity, your joy and happiness? There is a very simple method. It is called service. Service is the way par excellence for getting rid of karma. Of course it does not get rid of it, but it burns it up.
The process is something like this: as you serve you draw to yourself energy. By giving out energy, you get energy back; that is the law. Basically, it is the Law of Love, which governs our nature, without which the universe would not exist. It is, of course, in another sense, the Law of Cause and Effect itself. As you give love, you set in motion a cause, the effect of which is the return of love. So the law itself sets in motion its own fulfilment. As we serve, we demonstrate love. As we demonstrate love, by law, we get love. That strengthens and potentizes the individual in a way in which he can deal with his own karma.
As the person progresses in love, in service, he is automatically distancing himself from the effect of events. The events take place, but they have less and less effect on his psychology. In the East they say: well, it's my karma. In France they say: well, c'est la vie. Gradually, we have to develop an attitude of c'est la vie. If it is good, easy: c'est la vie. If it is hard, if it is painful, makes us unhappy: c'est la vie. We really have to live with that attitude
In the coming cycle of Aquarius, an entirely new approach to the Law of Rebirth will be taken. No longer will the old, fatalistic acceptance of all that happens as the inexorable hand of karma hold sway in the East, condemning millions to lives of drudgery and pain; no longer, in the West, will men ignore the fundamental laws of their existence and the personal responsibility which the working of these laws confers. Men will know that they themselves create, through thought and action, the circumstances of their lives; but also that by the working of these same laws they can transform and change for the better their natures and conditions.
This will lead to a re-evaluation of life's meaning and purpose and a healthier approach to the fact of death. An understanding of the continuity of all life, incarnate or not, will replace the present fear; the old phobia of death as the end of everything will vanish in the new light which will illumine the minds of men. Into the darkest corners of superstition and ignorance this new light will shine, awakening men to an awareness of their divinity as immortal souls.
The true understanding of what we sow we reap, will transform human existence in all its aspects. Tolerance and harmlessness not known before will replace the present separation, as men recognize the justice and the logic of the Law.
The new era will bring new insights and man will approach life as the adventure it is, a journey of discovery -- the discovery of the fact that God and man are one; that naught divides but the limited vision of the seeker; that all men chart a different course to the same goal, that the goal of all our striving is realization of the divinity which awaits our recognition.
Under the great Law of Rebirth we undertake that journey again and yet again, until at last we enter into the Light of our own understanding as self-perfected Sons of God.

RETURN OF THE MASTERS OF WISDOM
The Masters are known as the Teachers, the Elder Brothers of Humanity, the Knowers, the Mahatmas, the Society of the Illumined Minds, the Perfect Ones, The White Brotherhood and as the Masters of Wisdom and the
Lords of Compassion.
They are quite simply men and women who have gone before us in their evolutionary journey, experiencing thousands of incarnations to reach their height of perfection. They have obtained total mastery over themselves and the laws of nature.
Teachings by Helena Blavatsky, Helena Roerich, Alice A. Bailey and others from the 1880's through to the 1950's provide profound insight into our collective past, present and future and provide a basis for under-standing the accelerating human condition (both good and bad). This information, previously held closely by the very few, was cautiously released into a world dominated by religious, political and scientific dogma in an effort to create a brotherhood of man and to prepare humankind for the changes we have experienced and are currently undergoing. Embraced by many and attacked by others as is usual for any changes to worldview and perceived threats to self interest, these teachings were the forerunner of much of the spiritual movement seen today.
The teachings tell us that humankind has been evolving with some going beyond the human realm into the higher spiritual levels. There are a large number of these Enlightened men on our planet, Who have been living in the remote mountain and desert areas for countless thousands of years, guiding and teaching for long ages, ever careful not to impinge on free will. There is abundant information regarding these "Masters" in the esoteric philosophical texts issued from about 1875 through to 1950 and , more recently, in books published by Benjamin Creme.
They have gone by many names and have been known as Bodhisattvas, Buddhas, Guardian Angels as well as by individual names such as Jesus, Buddha, Morya (M), Koot Humi (K.H.), Djwhal Khul (D.K.), Hilarion and Rakoczi to name a few. Mainly, but not exclusively, they work through their disciples, men and women in the world. Any great man or woman who has significantly affected our culture or our civilisation will have been an initiated disciple of a Master. Examples are – Plato, Aristotles, Socrates, Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, Einstein, Madame Curie, Madame Blavatsky, Alice A. Bailey. Hundreds more are mentioned in Benjamin Creme’s books – Maitreya’s Mission I, II & III, and in the magazine, Share International.
The Masters are members of that group of 'Illumined Minds' who are guided by love and understanding. Through deep compassion and inclusiveness towards humanity the Masters have attained a relatively high state of development. But, as with all else in nature, their status is only relative in comparison with those already higher up the ladder, their own position remains humble, and vast expansions of consciousness still lie ahead of them on the Path of Higher Evolution. From behind the scenes, these Teachers have guided and shaped civilisation, leading to all the great advances in human endeavour, in sciences, politics, arts or religion.
Masters are pure manifestations of Love and Wisdom. They are the custodians of energies entering our planet and are releasing energy of one kind or another into the world all the time. Energies are released in a scientific manner to bring about changes in the evolution of the world. We respond to them well or badly, and our civilisations and our life in every respect are the outcome of our response. These energies make us what we are. They are making the new world. They are forming the Aquarian Age. We are at this moment, through our response to them, intuiting, feeling our way towards, apprehending, the kind of structures, the kind of civilisation, which the new age will exhibit. We are building it now.
They inspire the development of self-consciousness in all beings, and consciousness in the lower kingdoms- human, animal, plants and mineral. They come to teach the art of self-realization and the law of karma and rebirth. They serve as an example for humanity and inspire us to make a perfect world – that is our task.
The Masters are now returning to the everyday world to inspire and guide our transition into a New Age of Love, Justice, Peace and Goodwill. The Masters guide and teach, but it is humanity itself, responding of its own free will to their stimulus, which creates each new civilization. Out of the present chaos shall We inspire a new order; from the hatreds and divisions shall we create harmony and peace, while from doubt and fear shall We engender meaning, faith and joy.
It is the goodwill of ordinary men and women everywhere which will change the world. They will lead their leaders into the New Age. See yourself as a dynamic unit of goodwill in the world. Work with others.
The new world has to be made by us, ourselves.
THE EVOLUTION OF HUMANITY
Humanity stands now on the threshold of an era in which the light of consciousness will manifest on an increasing scale, expressing itself in every field of human endeavour as a growing awareness of the meaning and purpose of life on planet Earth.
Evolution is the movement by which life knows and expands itself, becomes aware of itself, and creates further, more involved and creative aspects of itself. It is part of that cosmic process by which everything which we call life finds expression in matter.
If you want to know about the evolution of the physical form, turn to Darwin...he has pretty well summed up the nature of evolution as regards the form of the animal and the human kingdoms.
But in terms of the evolution of consciousness, you have to turn to the esoteric. Esotericism is the philosophy, or science, of the evolutionary process, as it pertains to the human and the subhuman kingdoms.
In its essence, esotericism is the art of consciously recognizing that all existence, manifested in its myriad variations of form and quality, is fundamentally based on energy. Not only are all forms of creation composed of energy, but every form of activity also arises from streams of energy activated by that all-encompassing law of nature the Law of Cause and Effect. The function of the esotericist is to take cognisance of these energies and, as far as his mental and spiritual evolution allows, learn how these energies may best be guided and controlled to the maximum advantage of humanity
Deep within the consciousness of every man, woman and child lies the awareness of being a soul.
Essentially, each of us is a soul in incarnation, a solar angel. On the soul plane, each soul is an individualized part of one Oversoul; the separation we experience on the personality level is an illusion - the great heresy. As progress upon the evolutionary path is made, the conscious link between the soul and its reflection strengthens, and the light of the soul is more readily contacted and known. Thus the light of understanding grows. The moment our soul sees that we are ready to begin to express, somewhat, its perfection; to bring the qualities of the soul – truth, beauty, intelligence, the longing for perfection itself – into the incarnational process, the true evolution of the man or woman begins.
The life of the evolving personality may be divided into five progressive steps covering innumerable incarnations, over millions of years.
The First Period - the recognition of man as a human being - when animal-man was provided with an individual soul, and thus gained 'self'-consciousness - he was 'individualized'- polarized purely in his physical body.
The Second Period is characterized by a polarization in the emotional body, and is associated with the first signs of an awakening lower mind of desire - a capacity arises for a deep love and unreasoning devotion for those exhibiting greater intelligence and wisdom, or in wild and unreasonable hatred towards some associates.
The Third Period is when the mind is being developed, and the life is polarized in the mental body. The man by now has full control of the physical body and simultaneously the emotional body becomes more refined in its life of desire, and desire becomes transmuted into aspiration.
The Fourth Period is that wherein the personality, as a coordinated whole, is for the first time being
recognized - the three lower bodies, the physical, emotional and mental, have become synthesized into a single working unit under mental control - attention is now being consciously focused towards the soul.
The Fifth Period marks the consummation of the human being on the physical plane. It is the stage where he enters the path of initiation - initiation into the conscious recognition of the spiritual worlds.
Through sustained meditation, supported by study and service, the disciple is increasingly making direct contact with the soul's vibration, and more and more the soul-consciousness is being incorporated to include the lower planes. During this period the polarization shifts entirely from the personality to the soul until, towards the end of the fifth stage, liberation is complete and the man is set free.
The whole path of spiritual evolution is therefore a successive range of expansions of consciousness, of recognitions and succeeding revelations, until the world of matter and form stand revealed in the light of the soul, and illumination is achieved.
This is, in fact, the great story of our time.
A story of the great spiritual unfolding, happening now.
The Awakening of Humanity.

HEALTH AND HEALING
How does healing work?
To summarize: in the etheric body - the body of finer-than-solid but still physical matter, there is a group of chakras or energy centres, including seven major ones in the spine through which our energies flow. The energy that we receive comes from cosmos, the solar system, our own planet and our soul, entering the system we call "ourselves". If the chakras are working in a balanced way we get equilibrium in the energetic system. If from wrong use of soul energy (the major factor in dis-ease) we have produced a stasis, or dislocation of the flow, some of the chakras will not be functioning as they should. This results in an imbalance in the energy streaming through the body.
Related to the chakras is our endocrine system, the glands in the physical body. The health of the glands depends entirely on the correct flow of energy in the etheric body through the chakras, while the health of the physical body depends on the correct functioning relationship between the glands.
A mighty task awaits humanity at this turning point in its life: to cleanse the world of the age-old habits of wrong thinking and living; to change entirely its manner of social living in such a way as to make possible a new freedom from fear: fear of want, of war, of disease and death. An enormous task, indeed, but one worth all the effort involved, for it will lead to a new livingness, a new and sweeter relationship between men, and to a world governed by the principles of justice and brotherhood, sharing and love. Most people suffer and die from stress. You can imagine that when the resources of the world are shared, when there is no more war, when the world is living in harmony and peace, people will respond with greater relaxation and their health will improve.
In the not too distant future, the Technology of Light will give the medical profession an entirely new approach to the cure of these and other diseases. In the meantime, many people are finding that through meditation, and the closer identification with the Self which ensues, direct self-healing can be achieved. A transformation of our life-styles on a national and international basis is the key to the eradication of the imbalances which demonstrate as disease.
Every few years, a further advance is made in the understanding and control of disease, as we call that state of dis-equilibrium of mind and body which so troubles mankind. Each new advance pushes back a little the limits of man's knowledge of himself, and opens the door to further illumination. As we stand on the threshold of a new era, humanity is poised, as never before, to receive new light. Man is ready to discover the truths of his existence which, eventually, will free him totally from disease.
One of the outstanding happenings of the present time has been the rise into prominence of so-called spiritual or faith healers of various kinds. There has been a marked shift in public acceptance of their role and gifts and this on a world-wide scale. A new interest in the ancient healing methods of the East has widened the technical resources and understanding of Western practitioners, while prevention of disease — the creation of conditions of health and vitality — is gradually gaining a major role.
The transformation of social structures will do much to improve the health of humanity, removing much of the chronic stress and anxiety which is the experience of millions today. Greater leisure and recreation will play their part while sounder agricultural methods will ensure the production of food whose vitality is adequate to man’s needs.
The healthy lifestyle of humanity will gradually be lengthened with the use of the healing waters (777 of them) around the world and with the Technology of Light which will restore individual organs, all within the Karmic Law.....Maitreya goes all over the world creating healing waters. Since Maitreya’s miraculous
appearance in Nairobi, Kenya, on 11 June 1988, He has similarly appeared, in hundreds of cities worldwide, to groups from all religions, and has magnetized a local water source with powerful healing properties. Part of the physical atomic matter of the water is actually transformed into sub-atomic matter (or light). When weighed in a large quantity (a litre or more) these charged waters are lighter than ordinary ones by 4-8 per-cent. The Waters of Life - sources of practically inexhaustible water charged by the energy of Aquarius - strengthen the cellular structure of the body and act as a general tonic. It almost does not matter what the disease is: if your karma allows it the cure of amelioration will take place and on a wider margin of karma than would normally be the case. The healing waters can also be obtained in homeopathic form .
Maitreya’s healing hand—In 2001 a picture of Maitreya’s hand which appeared in a bathroom mirror in Barcelona was posted in Share International magazine. In the case of the image of Maitreya's hand, the energy does not reside in the photo, but is invoked from Mai-treya when you place your hand over the image or simply look at it. You are, in effect, calling forth His healing or blessing or help – whatever is possible within the karmic law .
Thus, stage by stage, disease will be eradicated from the world, to be replaced by a vitality and well-being seldom seen today but which is man's birthright, did he but know it. The stage is being set for this
transformation. The Masters, on Their return, will point the way, and under Their wise guidance all shall be made new.
AWARENESS
Awareness is universal. It does not ‘belong’ to any religion, nor to any guru, saint, or politician. When you judge, saying ‘I am right. You are wrong’, you are caught in the web of attachment. The Self must always practice detachment. In this way awareness will grow.
The path of awareness
There are many degrees of awareness. A child is aware of the Self. A baby a few months old, lying in its cot, chuckling to itself, looking around, watching the sky and the trees, can be totally moment to moment, aware of itself as the Self. As soon as he grows to a certain age he will have forgotten it. Only if we get back to being a child would we have that awareness. We can only get to that readiness when we detach from all our conditioning. Then, in this life, if we work on ourselves, physically, astrally, mentally, on our conditioning, that age old conditioning which inhibits our spontaneous response to who we are, as a baby is doing lying in a cot, we could know Self-realization in this life… We are attached to our feelings, our diseases, our memory, our ideas. We are either aware of ourselves as the self with a small ‘s’ or ourselves as the Self with a big ‘S’.
But almost no-one can do it, because it means being free of all their conditioning. That is the hard thing; we have to do it in stages. By stages, we grow in awareness of the Self.
The Self makes itself known through awareness. The Self makes mind, spirit and body aware of reality and thus able to make decisions accordingly. “Awareness, with intelligence, will guide mind, spirit and body. This will create harmony between mind, spirit and body and the Self”. Then the Self can use the forces of life to transform things, to effect ‘miracles’. Mind, spirit and body are simply vehicles.
Awareness is the light of life. Anything done outside awareness leads to destruction. All thoughts which lead you to selfishness lead you away from awareness. In awareness there is no memory. Memory is only in the mind. All struggle and cure is in the mind, never in awareness. Suffering, depression and craving for drugs are all states of mind. Awareness sets you free and allows you to enjoy life.
Awareness controls the pace of evolution.
Yet, in awareness there is no burden. You remain meticulous, immaculate, pure. There is grace, peace and happiness. Awareness is the mother of creation.
Awareness is crucial, not only in service, but in every single action you take in life. In fact, in every moment awareness is the be-all and end-all of your reason for being here. You are in incarnation to grow in conscious awareness. This is what evolution is about. You cannot separate awareness in service from awareness in general. Awareness should be the governing factor in everything you do.
The Self alone matters. You are that Self, an immortal Being.
“Our pain, our problems, our suffering is due to the fact that we identify with everything and anything other than the Self. So if the Self alone matters, awareness of the Self must be the most important thing we can achieve.
You have to learn how to Be.
Most people do not know how to Be.
They know how to become; the life of most people, as a personality, is a process of be-coming. It is a stage in evolution.
Living is awareness. It is the experience of Being, here and now – not yesterday, not tomorrow, but here, now.
This moment is where you are and alone is important. The past is not important. It is over, finished, done with. Let it go. The future has not yet come.
If you are truly aware of this moment, you will find that time, too, disappears
“Ask yourself, ‘Who am I?” You will find that you identify with the physical body. We look in the mir-ror and say “That is me”. In this way we are subject to all the limitations of the physical body…
Or we identify with our feelings our sensations, our energies our emotions. These are not us. They were not there yesterday, perhaps they will not be there tomorrow. They are unstable, never the same. If we are an immortal being, they cannot be us. Or we identify with our mind, with the creations of our mind, our memory. We think we are Mr or Mrs so and so with so many children. That is not us, that is our memory, the creation of our mind.
We are an immortal Being and therefore not subject to the limitations of the physical body, the emotional body, or the mind.
How do we become that immortal Being here and now on the physical plane? It involves the practice of three attitudes.
One, honesty of mind. It is not just being honest and not stealing other people’s property… For honesty of mind, what we think, what we say, and what we do must be in a straight line.
Two, sincerity of spirit – being who we are, distinct and individual. Not trying to be like someone else, not imitating other people, but speaking from the heart to the heart. Not speaking to provide others with some false idea of ourselves, manipulating them so that they admire or like us. It is being honest in oneself, sincere.
The third attitude to practice is detachment. Detachment is the awareness that we are not in the body, the feelings, or the mind. What we find in practice is that these three attitudes are mutually supportive. The more aware we become, the more honest we become, the more sincere. The more sincere we become, the honest we manage to be. The more sincere and honest we be-come, the more detached we become. The more detached we become, the more sincere and the more honest. These three work together like a yeast.
The more we practice these three attitudes, the greater Self awareness develops. The more Self-awareness develops, the more Self-realization be-comes possible. Self awareness leads to Self realization. What is self-realization. It is the goal of life, which, when achieved, makes us a Master. All of the Masters are Self-realized Beings.
“The body needs bathing every day. You also need to bathe your mind and spirit. Your spirit is the source of energy. Your spirit can become exhausted. You need the water of detachment”.
Detachment, sincerity of spirit, honesty of mind, awareness are themselves the result of a co-operative attitude, and demonstrated, lead to co-operation. You cannot separate these things: right relationship is another word for co-operation, which is another word, as the Masters put it, for unity. Unity, co-operation and right relationship are 3 different ways of expressing the same thing.
You can only detach from something if you observe it, recognize it. If you observe it without trying to change it, without justifying it, without rationalization, just simply looking at it you will find that you become more detached.
When you surrender the Self to mind, spirit and body, everything is predestined. Anything you do through Self-Awareness is not predestined, because it does not arise out of conditioning.
Awareness is the result of the action of consciousness itself. The physical brain, through its mechanism, allows that consciousness to be apprehended. That is awareness.
Awareness is the recognition that you are experiencing something. Consciousness is the faculty of the soul that makes us aware.
Awareness is knowing.
What is changing? – It is the individual who is changing, experiencing a greater and deeper awareness.
In awareness everything becomes purified.
In awareness everyone is forgiven.
In awareness, the Self realizes he is not the doer, but the witness of creation. The self witnesses the functions of mind, spirit and body but is free of them.

GROWTH OF CONSCIOUSNESS
Throughout the world, there is a growing understanding that humanity is undergoing a profound change in consciousness. This reflects itself in many ways, not least in the efforts being made to explore the nature of consciousness itself, to investigate the connection between consciousness, mind and brain, and to study the effect that these three, singly or in unison, may have on matter and the natural world
The old mechanistic views of nature and of the forces at work within her are fast disappearing and a new awareness is dawning of the unity underlying all manifestation. More and more, the concept that all is energy, that energy and matter are different states of one reality and can be affected by thought, is being accepted on a wide scale and is changing men’s view of life. Enlightenment is growing apace and soon the methods and technology will be found to demonstrate this fact. This is of profound significance for the future evolution of the race
As we enter the new age, a new urgency is being felt to explore the outer and the subjective worlds and to understand the relation between these two aspects of creation. Eventually, the common ground of all such investigations will exist in the awareness that consciousness is the attribute of the soul, that the mind and brain are conduits, vehicles for its manifestation, and that there is no break or separation in the connecting links between them.
Until now, the nervous system has been seen as the pathway for signals, electrical in nature, from the brain. Brain, the command post, through that intricate system, initiates the actions and reflexes, mental, emotional and physical, by which we recognize and demonstrate our livingness. To a limited degree, this, of course, is true. The complex computer of the physical brain does indeed co-ordinate and organize the multifarious information and stimuli streaming, moment to moment, through that sensitive apparatus.
However, as understanding grows of the nature and source of consciousness, a truer picture will emerge of the status and function of the brain as the focal point for the infinite variety of impulses reaching if from higher principles
Man’s mind is an instrument, a body, more or less sensitive, depending on the person, by which the mental planes can be contacted and known. The plane of mind, the mind-belt, is infinite in extent and serves as the conduit for all mental experience. When men realize this, they will understand how telepathyis the natural result of this relationship, and a new era of mutual communication and understanding will begin.
The nervous system will be understood as the connecting link between the soul and its vehicles, the means by which the soul, in incarnation, grips and demonstrates itself through its reflection. In this way, consciousness, the nature of the soul, expands and grows, shedding its light through all the planes, awakening man to his destiny as a Son of God
Soul consciousness is impersonal, inclusive and synthetic. It illumines. Brain consciousness tends to be personal, exclusive and analytical. It separates. Brain consciousness is necessary for organizing physical-plane existence. Soul consciousness reveals the purpose of, and meaning behind, that experience.
Evolutionary progress up to now has been to fashion individuality. That has to be achieved before it can be overcome. The potent, self-serving, highly integrated individual has to give way, eventually, to the world server.
The essence of Aquarian consciousness is the concept of the group. The energies of Aquarius, streaming to us in ever-mounting potency with every year that passes, will create, inevitably, the conditions for group consciousness. The Aquarian energies cannot be sensed, apprehended and utilized except in group formation. It is not possible to do so on an individual basis.
The key to this change in consciousness is love, and through love, service. As you serve you become more decentralized, until eventually you are totally identified with that which you serve – humanity, then creation itself. Then you have group consciousness
Prayer for the New Age
I am the Creator of the Universe
I am the Father and Mother of the Universe
Everything came from me
Everything shall return to me
Mind, spirit and body are my temples
For the Self to realize in them
My supreme Being and Becoming
